Travel Companions

Sado Persimmon

August is a month where my travel plans increase quite a bit.  During the next few weeks, I’ll be in and out of town.  Ever since I was little, I’ve wanted to see the world.  I’ve grown accustomed to a nomadic lifestyle.  (I haven’t lived in the same place for very long!)  People always seem interested in my ability to pick up and go.  They often ask me if I miss the comforts of home.

To me, home is a state of mind.  I like the freedom of travel: new places, new perspectives, and the fact that I am not weighed down my outdated possessions.  When I plan for a trip, I always seem to edit my wardrobe down to the most essential of things.  I don’t get rid of everything, but only the things that are no longer serving me.

Packing also reminds me to bring things that make me feel at ease.  Travel can be exciting, but there are often un-glamours parts.  One thing that always makes it to my suitcase is a candle by Voluspa.

Moso Bamboo
These delicious candles are made from coconut wax, and are available in a variety of scents.  Voluspa candles have some serious burning power.  The coconut wax burns cleanly and evenly, and emits the fragrance slowly.  You’ll never be overwhelmed by too much scent.  My favorite thing to do after arriving at a hotel is light one of these candles and take a shower.

Bella Sucre

All Voluspa candles are available in a travel size metal container with a lid.  Ideal for someone that likes to jetset, like me!  My current favorite scents are moso bamboo, bella sucre, and sabo persimmon.

Small details like this make traveling so much more enjoyable.  Do yourself a favor and try a Voluspa candle as your latest travel companion.
